Jelly Jammer Help

• Tap the jelly pads to play notes. Each pad is a different pitch, and its letter tells you which note it is.
• Pick which jelly to play from the strip at the top — a built-in one or any jelly you've made in the Jelly Lab.
• Lots of jellies to scroll past? Tap the filter button at the start of the strip and choose a family, like Keys, Guitars or Special FX.
• Simple mode uses friendly notes only, so nothing ever sounds wrong. Turn on Advanced mode in Settings to unlock the full scale with every note.

The families: Keys · Strings · Winds · Brass · Mallets · Guitars · Voice · Synth · Drums · Percussion · Special FX. The instrument jellies are modelled note by note, so a piano really rings and a flute really breathes.

• Tap a jelly in the strip to load it, then tap the big jelly any time to hear it.
• Slide the controls to change the sound. Every family has its own — a piano has Hardness and Tone, a flute has Breath and Vibrato, maracas have Beads.
• Octave moves the whole jelly lower or higher, and tells you which note it plays.
• Give your jelly a name, an icon and a colour, then Save this jelly. Saved jellies show up in the Jam room and the Jam Factory.
• Drums and percussion work here too, so you can build your own kick, snare or shaker.

• Pick a jelly under Jelly to place, then tap squares in the grid to switch notes on and off. Playing left to right, the song loops around and around.
• The name at the left of each row (like C4) is its pitch. Tap it to choose a new one: an octave, a note letter, and a sharp or flat — so a song written in flats can be typed in as written.
• Drum rows sit below the note rows: kick, snare, hi-hats, toms, congas, bongos, cowbell, cymbals, triangle, tambourine and maracas, each in its own colour.
• Press Play to hear it, change the Speed to go slower or faster, and choose Whole song or This block.
• Work in blocks (sections) — swipe between them, and tap the cog to rename one, change its length, or give it colour bands.
• Swipe left to the Sequencer to arrange the order your blocks play in and how many times each one repeats. Paid app
• The Tools row holds Erase, Sustain (hold a note longer) and Variant (flip a drum to its other sound, like an open hi-hat).
• More note and drum rows — up to 8 of each per block. Paid app

• Open it from the Play Along card on the home screen, or from Jam Factory ▸ Menu ▸ Play Along.
• Pick a part — one of your melody jellies, or Drums. The band plays everything else while you play your part.
• Your notes fall down the lanes. Tap the buttons as they cross the line: land it dead on for Perfect, close for Nice. Keep a run going to build a combo, and finish for stars.
• Choose Easy, Medium or Hard to change how many buttons you're juggling.
• Top scores are kept per difficulty, and they ride along inside the song — share it and your friends play for the same board.
• On a computer, the F G H J keys hit the buttons left to right, so two hands can play a chord.

• Tap the masks icon at the top of the Jam Factory to send your song to the Stage.
• Your jellies play under sweeping spotlights, with the notes falling in time and the drum floor flashing on every hit.
• Record the whole performance as a video and share it. Paid app

• Everything you make is saved right on your device — no account needed.
• In the Jam Factory, Menu has Save, Save As… and Load…. Saved songs also appear on the home screen so you can open them again later.
• Share Jam saves your song as a small .jam file. A friend can open it in their own Jelly Jammer, and any jellies you invented travel with it. Paid app
• Export Audio turns your song into an audio file you can play anywhere. Paid app
• Stuck for a starting point? Menu ▸ Example drops in a ready-made song to poke at.

• Advanced mode shows more controls for bigger kids — the full set of notes in the Jam room, and the full envelope, filter, detune and exact tempo elsewhere.
• Studio Filter (in Advanced mode) colours everything the app plays, like putting your band in a garage or a big hall. It bakes into exported audio too.
